Let's Talk Turkey, Burgers That Is

One of my all time favorite quick meals is turkey burgers. I absolutely love a good turkey burger, but I'm kind of weird because I don't like them on a bun.
My husband (Logan) and I used to, no joke, eat the same five meals every week. Turkey burgers was one of them. We would eat turkey burgers with a cup of rice and half a cup of black beans. And then some Siracha, because we LOVE spice.
Now, however, we eat much more healthy. This meal in the pictures was turkey burgers, asparagus, and not pictured a salad.
Cooking turkey burgers can be kind of tricky. The way I cook mine is in my Lodge cast iron skillet. I cook them on low heat and I put a lid on the pan just over the burgers themselves. You just have to make sure to watch them very closely.
Let's talk seasonings. The way I season my turkey burgers is just with some old fashioned salt and pepper and then to add some more spice crushed red pepper. We also like to eat Siracha still with our turkey burgers, but we recently took a trip to Trader Joe's and I ate Green Monster Siracha hot sauce with them. Let me tell you, that hot sauce is absolutely wonderful!
This meal is completely Whole30 approved and paleo as well. You could also eat the turkey burgers with riced cauliflower, broccoli, or really anything else you choose.
