Shake, Shake, Shake, Your Protein Shake

My morning protein shake

I have a really hard time with being able to meet my goal of getting enough protein in my diet. In order to help meet the protein goal I have for myself I add in a protein shake or two to my day.

 
 

Some mornings I just use 10oz of unsweetened vanilla almond milk and a scoop of whey protein, but I also like to add in some fruits or even some vegetables. Today I added in frozen strawberries, blueberries, even some kale and then of course almond milk and a scoop of protein powder.

 

In my opinion of my shakes, I don't taste much of the extra added ingredients. The fruit does give the shake more flavor, but you still get the delicious chocolate flavor as well.

One scoop of the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey Protein Powder has 24g of protein in it and only 2g of carbs.

I choose to use a chocolate flavor, because I am what some might call a chocoholic and having a chocolate protein shake helps me to kick my chocolate cravings.
