Some of The Best Places to Eat Near Clearwater, FL

Grouper Tacos from Siesta Key Oyster Bar

If you know me you probably know that I LOVE to eat and vacation is no exception, more like a time to pig out even more than usual.

Here are a few of my new favorites near Clearwater, FL:

J&K Seafood Shack (Indian Rocks Beach)

This is a super small seafood joint with some sitting area outside and the kitchen is in a trailer that can travel. I had the BEST shrimp po boy I have ever eaten at J&K's. Their boiled shrimp is so full of flavor and bursting with life.

Lulu's Oyster Bar and Taproom (Indian Rocks Beach)

Lulu's is more than just oysters, even though their oysters are pretty great. We ate here for appetizers. We had the Asian BBQ Crispy Calamari and fried jalapeño bites. The calamari was a completely different take on calamari than what is presented at most restaurants and it is absolutely wonderful. The Jalapeño bites were fried perfectly, they were not super greasy and had the perfect amount of spice.

Siesta Key Oyster Bar (Siesta Key)

I had the grouper tacos and added guacamole to them, but they did not even need the guac added These tacos were so delicious. The grouper was cooked perfectly and had a wonderful taste. My husband had the tuna steak BLTA. It was a hard toss up debating on trading a taco for half of the BLTA, in the end I decided to stick with my tacos. The BLTA was great too, I just had a hankering for some tacos that night.

Lastly was somewhere I never would have thought to go at the beach.

Panai Thai Restaurant (Largo, FL)

My husband and I split a dinner for two with egg rolls, orange chicken, and pineapple curry. I have to say I have a favorite Thai restaurant in Chattanooga, but this little restaurant was so much better. The flavors in all the foods were amazing. The chicken in the orange chicken was fried to perfection and not greasy at all. The curry's flavor was spicy with the fruit flavors of the pineapples with the crunch of bell pepper and bamboo shoots.
