Quick, Easy, and Delicious Meal for Dinner Tonight
When I'm starving and have just gotten home from a weekend away I am always so thankful to have a full stocked pantry even when I haven't been to the store in over a week.
I whipped up this meal pretty quickly in order to satisfy my hunger and to have something delicious to eat as well.
I have been on a real weight loss kick lately (note to self: stop going home to mom's cooking if I actually want to lose weight.) With that being said I wanted to use some lean ground turkey in my quick spaghetti. I used just under a pound of turkey in my spaghetti to make sure it satisfied my meat headed husband (sorry babe).
I used my trusty cast iron skillet and started heating it up on medium high heat and added in some olive oil. I then added my turkey and broke it up some to cook evenly. I also minced two gloves of garlic and diced half an onion to cook with the ground turkey.
After the Turkey and veggies were cooked throughly I added in red sauce and heated it up with the other ingredients. I also added in salt, pepper, dried basil, and oregano.
While my sauce ingredients were heating up I boiled water for my Banza pasta and cooked the pasta to eat my spaghetti sauce with. Banza pasta is one of my favorites to cook with, it's made of chickpeas.
