Quick and Delicious Bruschetta
Bruschetta is something that I have been obsessed with lately, so much so that we even had a bruschetta bar at our wedding!
I decided to give making bruschetta a try and I believe I have about perfected it.
Tonight I just made enough for my husband and I. I used half a loaf of french bread cut into slices, half a stick of butter, one tomato, four basil leaves, and two tablespoons of balsamic vinegar.
1. I started by dicing a tomato up and adding it to a bowl.
2. I then cut up my basil and added half of the basil to the bowl and set the rest aside to use on top of my bruschetta.
3. I then sliced the french bread while heating up my cast iron skillet. After, the skillet was heated up I spread butter throughout the skillet and then placed my bread in the skillet. I flipped the bread to the other side after about 5 minutes. I heated them up on medium- high heat.
4. While the bread was heating up I added two tablespoons of balsamic vinegar to the bowl of tomatoes and basil.
5. Finally I added my tomato, basil, and balsamic vinegar mixture to the tops of each piece of bread. After, I sprinkled the rest of my basil onto the bruschetta. I then added my farmer's market find from Three Graces Dairy to garnish half of the bruschetta pieces.
