Goals, not Resolutions
New Year's Resolutions seem to get people every year. You say one thing and follow through for a week, maybe a month and then it just vanishes. And I've noticed a lot of people seem to be setting goals instead this year, and I am for it!
Well this year Logan and I decided we wanted to make goals for ourselves as a couple and for our future in 2019. I wanted to share some of our goals and why we chose them.
2018 was our first year of marriage and man did we bite off a lot! But we were thriving and we didn't want to stop at the beginning of this new year. For 2019 our goals are very ambitious, but we know if we stick to our guns we will be able to tackle them and if not we will go down fighting.
Goal #1 is to be more outdoorsy and adventurous. We both love the outdoors, but last year we just did not make enough time for it. This year we decided we will be making time no matter what.
With being more adventurous and outdoorsy for that matter our second goal is to travel more. We love traveling to new places and to places we love. For our anniversary we decided to gift each other trips, and y'all I am so stoked!!!
Our third goal as a couple is to just spend more quality time with each other. I have had a bad habit of not knowing how to break free from work or social media when we are together and that is something we plan to work on together throughout the year.
If you read my Instagram post and are looking for what to DM me. Send me a DM @lifetalkwithlinds on Instagram with the phrase, "Beauty is in me" for your chance to win a $25 Amazon e-gift card. Make sure to DM before 1/7/19 at 8PM Eastern.
Goal #4 is to buy land this year. And this is our biggest ambition for the year, but in order to do so we are budgeting and meal prepping the heck out of our lives. In 2018 we bought our first home and we love it! But we want to have land and be close or have a house built before we start a family, so we are working our little booties off to do it.
Our fifth and final goal is to continue to work on our relationship with God as a couple. To kick start this I bought some devotional books to work as a couple as part of Logan's anniversary present. We haven't started them yet, but I plan to share feedback when we do!
What are some of your goals for 2019?? I would love to hear what you have in store!
